Single Malt Whisky, Scotland/Highlands
Founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson, the Aldour distillery in Pitlochry was renamed Blair Athol in 1825. Closed in 1932, it began reproducing in 1949 and the number of stills was increased from two to four in 1973.
Remarkably complex, whether floral, fruity or autumnal, the aromatic and taste palette of this version is guided by a noble spice that links the three stages of tasting: ginger.
