Single Malt Whisky, Scotland/Islay

Situated near Port Askaig, the Caol Ila distillery overlooks the strait which gives it its name and which separates it from the island of Jura. Mainly aged in bourbon casks, the single malt it produces is renowned for its crystalline, iodine, smoky and intensely seaside character.

Matured in an oloroso sherry cask, this version shows us this emblematic whisky in a more animal light than usual. At once tempestuous and delicate, its range of aromas and flavours has acquired, thanks to the perfectly controlled influence of Spanish wine, a serenity and fullness that transcend its profoundly island character.
