After the Ben Nevis 1984 which was aged for 13 years in a bourbon cask and finished for 18 years in an oloroso sherry butt, and the Ben Nevis 1966 from LMDW’s 2018 Creation catalogue which was aged for 51 years in a bourbon cask, LMDW then presented this Ben Nevis 1996 which has been aged solely in a sherry cask. Particularly complex, it beautifully embodies the exuberant and oxidative style of this unique single malt. Furthermore, it is with remarkable freshness that the palette of flavours and aromas introduces us one by one to its fruity, spicy, floral, luscious and tertiary tones which, with time, have sculpted its incredibly generous personality.
