Single Malt Whiskey, Ecosse / Highlands
Renovated in 1984 and closed again in 1986, Ben Nevis was bought in 1989 by the Japanese group Nikka. Today, a small part of the production (2.5%) is devoted to the development of a very peated single malt called MacDonald’s Traditional in homage to the founder of the “Long” distillery, John McDonald. In recent years, by his authentic and uncompromising style, Ben Nevis has been raising an ever-increasing enthusiasm among amateurs around the world. Wonderfully fruity, herbaceous and malty, this version overflowing with natural reminds us that simplicity is a virtue that allows us to better highlight an underlying complexity.
