Single Malt Whisky, Scotland / Islay
Made from malted and peated barley (50 ppm) by the Port Ellen malting, this version aged in a cask that once contained Caroni rum highlights a deep connection between the cereal and sugar cane. On the aromatic level, the peat makes its way through fields of sugar cane. In terms of taste, this version, more and more earthy and empyreumatic, leaves a few notes of hydrocarbons which immediately bring to mind the very particular character of this rum from Trinidad & Tobago.
