Single Malt Whisky, Scotland/Speyside
Founded in 1823, Mortlach is one of the few distilleries to practice triple partial distillation (2.81 times exactly). It is fitted with old-fashioned condensers called “worm tubes” and is known to produce a very delicate distillate with a rich and fruity profile. Distilled in 2012, this version aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, giving it notes of sweet spices. Like The Un-Chill filtered Collection, whiskeys in the Very Cloudy range are bottled from small batches of two to five barrels. Reduced to 40% without cold filtration or coloring, they have a rich profile, very aromatic and have a slightly cloudy appearance. For a truly authentic taste experience, they can be enjoyed at room temperature or slightly cooled to increase this oily side. Bottled for France.
