Papalin is a project dedicated to rum blends, made by Luca Gargano. After two editions, the range moves forward with a new release: Papalin Haiti 4 years old.
This version is a blend of different clairins distilled in 2017 (Clairins Vaval, Sajous, Casimir, and Le Rocher) and cane syrup from Distillerie de Port-au- Prince (2018), aged in Caroni and Mount Gay rum barrels, bourbon casks from Buffalo Trace and even cognac casks.
While is does venture blithely outside its natural borders, this rum really emphasises its deeply Haitian character, evoking in turn a sweet wine, a fruit brandy, and a Scottish single malt. This Papalin Haiti was distilled in 2018 only in Pot Still, aged for 4 years and bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 53.10%
