The Special Cask label is reserved for the rarest whiskeys from Sullivans Cove. These whiskeys, unique in their kind, do not correspond to the usual styles of the distillery (French or American oak). They must obtain exceptional marks during internal tastings, and represent the heights of what Sullivans Cove can achieve. Each cask release is different, and only one or two casks are bottled each year, a few hundred bottles at most. It could be wine, virgin oak, STR, or any other type of cask, but if they have a “”Special Cask”” label you can be sure you’re getting a unique whiskey. “”Beautifully floral, soft and delicate””. – Heather Tillott, Chief Distiller Aged for 11 years.
