The expression of the Balblair Highland single malt was distilled in 1983 and matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled in 2014 at a strength of 46% abv,this expression was the first release of the 1983 vintage. Established in 1790, Balblair is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and the oldest working distillery in the Highlands.
