Single Malt Whisky, Scotland / Highlands
Produced for the first time in 2002, the year the Edradour distillery was taken over by Signatory Vintage, the first Ballechin was created in 2006. With a phenol content of 50 ppm, this single malt has become, in two decades, a reference essential in terms of peated whiskies. Selected in September 2021, this version aged in a cask that once contained the most famous of Sicilian wines unfolds notes of peat of rare power throughout the tasting. However, as soon as it loosens its grip slightly, honeyed, floral, candied or even exotic oases highlight the marsala.
