Single Malt Whisky Scotland/Speyside
Benromach Peat Smoke marks the meeting of peat and indulgence. This single malt is made from heavily peated malted barley (42 ppm) and aged in first-fill bourbon casks. The subtly smoky Speyside peat perfectly complements the elegant fruitiness of the bourbon, with notes of vanilla, apricot, and lemon sorbet. In 2020, this essential whisky adopted Benromach’s new identity while retaining its ever-complex aromatic profile. Distilled in 2009, this intensely peated edition, aged for nearly 11 years, is distinguished by the absence of sherry cask maturation—a choice that offers a marked contrast to the rest of the range.
Nose : Smoky and subtle. Vanilla, citrus zest, white chocolate, apple.
Palate : Round and indulgent. Toasted oak, honey, lemon sorbet, marshmallow and caramel.
Finish : Persistent and full-bodied. Wood smoke, ripe fruit.
