Armagnac, France
In 1973, the father of Thomas Guasch — the current cellar master at Domaine de Bordeneuve — fell in love with the Armagnacs produced at Château de Lacaze. So much so that he decided to buy the annual harvest. This version produced with Baco (60%) and Ugni Blanc (40%) grapes is from that harvest. After 18 months ageing in new oak casks, it was transferred to a less tannic, fine-grain red cask from the Vosges Forest. The result is this excellent fruity, spicy, mineral and herbal expression.
