Hampden Estate is known for producing a large variety of distillates. Depending on multiple parameters such as the length of the fermentation or the addition of dunder, the distillery will produce a specific type of rum called “mark”. LROK stands for Light Rum Owen Kelly, one of several marks made at Hampden Estate and refers to a rum with a high ester concentration, ranging from 200 to 400g/hLPA. This mark created in 1952 belongs to the wedderburn category, i.e. the heavy rums. In this case the ester content is of 334,7 gr/hLPA. Hampden Estate 2010 LROK has been aged for 11years in the tropical Jamaican climate, equivalent to almost 44 years of maturation in the European climate

Tasting Notes

Profile: Intense and balanced.

Nose:  Fruity. Dried banana, harlequin candy, cane syrup.

Palate: Fresh. Camphor, menthol, exotic fruits, vanilla

Finish:  Long and silky. Rum cake, liquorice, orange peel.
