Longridge Wine Estate is nestled against the slopes of the majestic mountain, south of Stellenbosch. This eclectic cuvée is a blend of classic red Bordeaux varieties with a focus on balance and elegance, especially crafted in collaboration with winemaker Jasper Raats and Alex de Ujfalussy of Navigate World Whisky.
For each Eclectic release, local artwork is selected to inspire and provide a visual voice to the wine’s character. The label used for Eclectic 1.1 communicates a cuvée that is rich in red character with layers of complexity from these Bordeaux-style selected grapes. A wine that is absolutely delicious but also constantly evolving with a little nuance to it (we’ve settled on Swiss chard).
“With proper cellaring, the wine will be even more refined in 10-12 years. Biodynamically produced, the wine underwent natural fermentation, without the addition of any enzymes or fining agents. It was bottled unfiltered and may therefore develop harmless sediment over time.” – Jasper Raats.
