Founded in 1978, the Highland Park distillery was granted an official distillation licence in 1826. In 1898, it doubled its production capacity, moving from two to four stills. In his book the Malt Whisky Companion, Michael Jackson described Highland Park as “the greatest all-rounder in the world of malt whisky”. Tasting this bottling, one can only agree. With breathtaking complexity, each stage of the tasting is a world in itself. Malty, peaty, fruity and spicy pathways have been constructed to enable the taster to meander at their will through a sparkling palette of aromas and flavours that is in constant movement and which finishes by taking on magnificent oriental tones.
