Takeno Shuzo was created in 1947 by the association of four previously closed Sakaguras (sake houses). Since then, they have continued to perpetuate the quality standards of this local sake. Takeno works on fine and complex sakes for bottle ageing, which are refined year after year. In addition, it is one of the rare houses to state the vintage of its sakes and not to enter any technical information, because the beauty of their cuvées can be appreciated without numbers.
Profile
Takeno Kamenoo is now a non-vintage sake, distinguished from the previous Kameno 2022 vintage by its more modern packaging. Made from Takeno’s emblematic rice variety, this cuvée plays on notes of white fruit, with a hint of banana. With a delicate, fresh note of honeysuckle and jasmine on the finish. Serve between 6 and 12°C with salmon gravlax, goat’s cheese and spinach puff pastry, or cherry clafoutis.
