This special single malt Japanese whisky was crafted to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Mars Komagatake Distillery, which began operations in 1985 and celebrates its milestone in 2025.It is a unique expression that blends whiskies from four decades—1980s, 1990s, 2010s, and 2020s—excluding the mothballed 2000s, to embody the distillery’s 40- year history in a single bottle. A variety of casks, including bourbon, sherry, and American white oak, were used. To preserve the original spirit, the whisky is bottled non-chill-filtered, allowing you to enjoy its natural flavor. By highlighting its heritage as a distillery with four decades of history, Mars aims to clearly differentiate themselves from emerging craft distilleries.

Nose : Apple jam and ripe apricot, complemented by melon and vanilla, layered with elegant cask-aged aromas.

Palate : Sweetness reminiscent of raisins and maple syrup, a hint of cinnamon spice, and refined richness like sweet chestnut and chocolate.

Overall : Gentle peat lingering through the nose, followed by a pleasant, long-lasting bitterness that adds depth.
