Single Malt Whisky, Scotland / Speyside
Seyton, Macbeth’s faithful armourer, has been imagined as a fresh, herbaceous single malt. Maturation in ex-Islay whisky casks lends a delicate contribution of smoky notes to the mineral profile characteristic of Ardmore’s peated single malts. Aged for over 12 years, this single malt offers resinous notes, chocolate mint and burnt toffee. It is one of ten whiskies in the Househould series.
Livingstone and Elixir Distillers present the first act of the Macbeth range, a tribute to the play written by William Shakespeare in 1606. This first act includes nine elixirs that will allow us to wait patiently before the next four acts, for a total of 42 whiskies. Each scotch whisky in this series is based on the profiles of the characters in Macbeth, with tasting notes written by Dave Broom and labels illustrated by the legendary Sir Quentin Blake. It’s a journey from Shakespeare to the finest bottles Elixir Distillers has to offer.
