This limited edition expression is a homage to the history of malt whiskey and the fortified wine world. After spending three years in an American oak barrel, Boulder then finished this whiskey in proprietary port casks for up to one year. The results are an amazingly rich, dried fruit forward, velvety whiskey.
Milled, mashed, fermented, distilled and aged in Boulder, Colorado, using #3 char, virgin American white oak barrels before being transferred to ex – Ruby Port barrels. A double Pot Still, American Single Malt that is proofed with Eldorado Springs water and made using 100% Malted barley, grown in the UK, malted at Muntons Malt in the UK.
A whiskey that is closely held to the distilleries heart.
Colour: Dark Amber.
Nose: Freshly baked biscuits with honey.
Palate: Flavours of flan, rum-raisin, chocolate-covered almonds, and nougat. A round, crisp, dry yet fruity body.
Finish: A hot, elegant, medium-long finish conveying nuances of mango, toasted barley, dried banana, and a grassy ending.
