Boulder have been on the leading edge of the American Single Malt movement for some years now. We couldn’t be more excited to announce the very first Bottled in Bond American Single Malt from Colorado! Only the fourth release in the USA, certainly the first to officially arrive in South Africa, Boulder will continue to be on the top rung of the ladder as this category continues to grow.
Just as any other Bonded whiskey, this expression was aged 4 years (almost 5, really), bottled at 50% abv, and was of course made in Boulder Colorado. This American Single Malt Whiskey is a representation of traditional
pot distillation techniques combined with the American ageing style of using freshly charred, virgin oak barrels.
Milled, mashed, fermented, distilled and aged in Boulder, Colorado, using #3 char, virgin American white oak barrels with no temperature control. A double Pot Still, American Single Malt that is proofed with Eldorado Springs water and made using 100% Malted barley, grown in the UK, malted at Muntons Malt in the UK.
This is a soft, fruity and pillowy American Single Malt that is said to leave Scotch drinkers jumping the pond.
