Single Malt Whisky, Scotland/Islay
This 8th edition of the Black Art series by Bruichladdich comes from the 1994 vintage, which makes it a 26 year old whiskey. Distilled and aged on Islay, the mystery remains around this bottling because only Adam Hannett knows the type of barrels used in the aging of this whisky. It presents an aromatic profile centered on citrus fruits, wood spices and the sweetness of vanilla.
TASTING NOTE
Nose: Citrus fruits, lemon zest, fresh orange, caramel, woody notes, dried apricot and tobacco.
Palate: Balance between citrus and woody notes. A warm honey texture, with the sweetness of vanilla, dried apricots, caramel and spicy wood.
Finish: Sweetness of caramel, dried fruits, lemon zest, hazelnuts and milk chocolate.
