The initial cask bottled for Dalmore’s custodians was introduced in 2012 as part of a concept aimed at the distillery’s followers. On January 1, 2000, three casks were filled at midnight, with releases scheduled for their 12th, 15th, and 18th birthdays.

The first of these, known as the ‘Millennium Release’, was bottled in 2012 as a 12-year-old whisky. It underwent initial maturation in an American oak ex-bourbon cask before being finished in a Matusalem oloroso sherry cask.”
