Sassafras is the seventh release born from the partnership between Luca Gargano and Richard Seale that began in 2016. A blend of distinctively distilled rums: a copper double retort pot still on one side and a traditional twin columns Coffey still on the other one. The blend has been aged 3 years in ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to ex-cognac casks for an additional 11 years at Foursquare distillery. Bottled at cask strength, Sassafras is a worthy representative of Foursquare’s methods and principles.
