Like the 2016 5-year-old Hampden jug unveiled last year, this version falls into the LROK category, a mark whose ester level is between 200 and 400 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Aged four years, it is divided into two very distinct stages: the first, olfactory, perfectly embodies the style both empyreumatic and heady of the rum produced by the Hampden #P distillery, & the second, gustatory, reveals a gourmet character and so abundantly fruity that at times it evokes a mirabelle plum eau-de-vie.
