At every stage of the tasting, Oban is surprising, marked by a character halfway between land and sea. These notes are a reflection of the land from which this malt comes: the Western Highlands. To emphasise the flavours of iodine and sea air during Oban’s second maturation, its master distiller chose Fino Montilla casks, which enhance the elegance of the malt with delicate woody notes.
