Rum, Mauritius
The Médine distillery was founded in 1926 near the village of Bambous and renovated in 1989. It is equipped with four column stills. Penny Blue was first released in 2010. Pleasantly influenced by its Oloroso sherry maturation, this version is filled with fruity, floral, spicy and precious woody sequences whose sunny and oxidative character bring to mind an Andalusian cellar.
