Single Malt Whiskey, Scotland / Highlands
Founded in 1826, the Old Pulteney distillery was completely rebuilt in 1958. A year later, its malting areas were closed. Alternating between short (50 hours) and long (110 hours) fermentation, it produces a rich and complex single malt. Constantly putting its work back on the work, both in terms of aroma and taste, this version has a hundredfold all the ingredients that have made the reputation of this vintage from the North of Scotland. Namely, a constant salinity, an oily and creamy texture bordering on gluttony, a subtle blend of fruity and herbaceous sequences without forgetting an innate naturalness of constantly placing malted barley at the heart of debates.
