Single Malt Whisky, Scotland / Highlands
Number 66 is the alias of a distillery founded in 1898 that doubled its number of stills from two to four in 1955 and then from four to eight in 1974. It also produces a second unpeated single malt primarily used for the famous blended Scotch Teacher’s. Moving to the rhythm of a fairly dry peat, the aroma and flavour palette is drawn out at the very end of the finish by magnificent notes of essential oils (cypress, savoury).
