Bourbon, Unites States/ Kentucky
Renamed Buffalo Trace in 1999, this distillery, where Blanton’s is produced, was successively called Old Fire Copper, George T Stagg, Frankfort Distillery then Ancient Age. During the period of prohibition (1920-1933), it was one of the few establishments to be authorized to produce “medicinal” whiskey. Extroverted, the aromatic palette of this single barrel no. 29, which has aged on the fourth floor of cellar H, restores the chocolate, spicy, fruity, cereal and spicy notes that constitute the DNA of Blanton’s.
As for its aromatic and gustatory palette of a pleasant menthol and vanilla freshness, it reveals itself to be suave and greedy.
