Single Malt Whisky, Scotland/Highlands-Arran
One of the distillery’s permanent editions, Arran 18-year-old has been given a new look as part of the new Arran range, but its original flagship recipe remains unchanged. A blend of first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill sherry hogshead casks, Arran 18-year-old is an intense single malt with hints of ripe fruit and sweet spices. With a flavour profile somewhere between delicate and rich, Arran offers a deep and intense single malt bottled at 46%. After more than a year of sketches and drafts, Arran’s brand new identity is here. Sleek, of the best possible quality and undeniably modern, these new bottles capture the essence of Arran and its distillery.
Nose : Soft fruits with cherry, dark chocolate and touch of oak and honey.
Palate : The classic Arran house style is enriched with candied orange peel and dark chocolate. Toasted oak and light sweet spices and brown sugar.
Overall : Long lasting and memorable. The influence of the Sherry cask has given depth and the maturity of this dram is complex and fruity.
