Bourbon, United States/Kentucky
This mythical straight bourbon whiskey was created by Elmer T. Lee, the emblematic master distiller of the Buffalo Trace distillery until 1985, in tribute to Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton who directed the distillery from 1912 to 1943. Bottled at its natural strength, this version aged on the second floor of warehouse H at the Buffalo Trace distillery contrasts with the pure classicism steeped in elegance of single barrel no. 1 in this catalogue, creating a completely assumed originality of tone. Taking more uneven paths, its aromatic and gustatory palette cheerfully crosses the borders of Kentucky to soak up oriental and medicinal flavors.
