Single Malt Whisky Scotland/Highlands
To celebrate the 200th anniversary, The Glendronach invites you to step back in time to the founding of our distillery in 1826. Founder, James Allardice, was renowned for hosting the most distinguished members of the gentry, and many anecdotes have been recounted about his charisma and personality. In tribute to their rich heritage, they present this exclusive special edition, which invites you to step inside the historic walls of Boynsmill House. This exclusive limited edition, aged for 14 years, has been matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, for which The Glendronach is renowned. Furthermore, Master Blender Rachel Barrie has selected a small number of casks that previously held Clairet wines, to complement this rich and robust character. A tribute to the wines that would have graced the tables at the many festivities Allardice loved to attend. This third cask style perfectly complements The Glendronach’s rich and robust character, adding succulent fruity notes. MASTER BLENDER “Boynsmill House Edition invites you to celebrate The Glendronach’s 200th anniversary with an opulent expression that evokes the glory days of yesterday and today.” Rachel Barrie Master Blender
Nose : Opens with a delightful blend of fruits and nuts, where the sweetness of Highland caramel blends with the succulence of blackberries and stone fruits, enriched with hazelnuts and raisins.
Palate : A velvety, mature malty character, with a richness of dried fruit and nuts. It reaches its peak with velvety, smooth notes of chocolate and caramel.
