After the Last Ward 2007 and 2009 editions, the Habitation Velier range delights us with a new vintage (2011) bottled under the name of the Mount Gay distillery. This new benchmark takes full advantage of the floral and pastry notes of raj bajans (Barbados) and its 52.3% gives it a rich and complex profile.
Tasting Note
Nose: Concentrated. Beeswax, tobacco, bourbon vanilla, pastry cream, licorice.
Palate: Omnipotent. Exotic fruit jelly, undergrowth, salted caramel-butter, almonds.
Finish: Long. Marmalade, dried pineapple, anise, hints of salt.
