Single Malt Whisky,France /Rhone Alpes

The famous Ninkasi brewery-distillery passionately produces single malts brewed then distilled and aged in Tarare (a few kilometers from Lyon). Each bottle is the result of a unique know-how around barley malts (acquired since their first brewing in 1997) and aging mainly in barrels of wine from the terroirs of their region.

For this limited edition, Alban Perret, the master distiller of Ninkasi, favoured a different type of breeding, by aging this single malt entirely in ex-barrels that had contained Marsanne grape wine, typical of the Rhone Valley.

A blend of only 3 barrels, this expression offers a very original tasting experience, oriented towards oxidative notes, like a yellow wine, indulgence (cocoa, caramel, prune) and spices (curry in particular).
