Another new addition to the range from Germany. This whisky is distilled by Saillt Mòr who have had their distilling licence since 1602 but only started distilling whisky in 2009. This expression has been matured in an ex-sherry cask, with a Bourbon cask finish – oddly the other way around to most sherry finished whiskies. That Boutique-Y Whisky Company is instantly recognizable by its comic-strip style labels, full of details and humorous references. The design may seem eccentric, but the selection is very careful and often quite surprising.
