Rum, Jamaica
Founded in 1949, the Clarendon distillery is equipped with a 20,000-litre Vendôme pot still and a 25,000-litre Indian pot still named Calendria-i used to produce rums with an ester content of 600 to 1,500 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. After 14 years maturing in the tropical climate of Jamaica, this version was then aged for an additional four years in a continental climate. With huge complexity and presence, its palette of flavours and aromas has acquired a maturity of expression that words simply cannot describe.
