In view of its venerable age, this version bottled by the famous Maison Berry’s Bros & Rudd has retained the crisp and lively character of its early years. When aired, notes of still lukewarm cane sugar even remind us of the genesis of a traditional rum from English Guyana which over time has been adorned with fruity, medicinal, spicy and mentholated clothes. With even more aeration, on the olfactory level, notes of agave lead us unexpectedly into Mexican territory, more exactly in the State of Jalisco.
