Owned by Australia’s second largest dairy cooperative Betta Milk, the Hellyer’s Road distillery produces its single malt from barley grown and malted locally by Joe White Maltings. This impressive and enchanting version instantly takes us to stunning flavor and aroma lands where the peat is in turn ashy, oily, earthy and salty. Everything here is beautiful, in particular the outstanding mineral reduction that so perfectly evokes the Tasmanian terroir.
