Single Malt Whiskey, Taiwan / Yilan County

Kavalan launches the “Artists Series Collector Set”, a set of four limited edition bottles with a screen print by Paul Chiang entitled “”Mountain Range of Taiwan””. The first edition presents four bottles in collaboration with master artist Paul Chiang, who draws his creative energy from his native country, and whose work has been selected to interpret the classical music and natural beauty of Taiwan.

Cask whiskeys – Puncheon, Virgin Oak, French Wine Cask and Peated Malt – are inspired by the four elements, ocean, air, heat from the sun and earth, each of which plays an essential role in the creation of Kavalan whiskey.

PUNCHEON

Paint – Pisilian

Aged in Puncheon casks, and as rare as a treasure from the depths of the ocean, this whiskey is smooth in texture, with an ocean of complexity, and waves of mouthwatering flavour.

VIRGIN OAK

Paint – On Wings of Song

Virgin oak barrels form the body of this Kavalan symphony in which sweet notes of tropical fruits and honey are liberally infused.

FRENCH WINE

Paint – Meditation on Eternity

Matured in barrels of red wine from the best wineries in France, this opulent whiskey has a rich aroma and full-bodied texture. Soft tannins and a warm feeling on the palate help bring out the rich complexity of the flavors.

PEATED MALT

Paint – Jinzun / Summer

Using smoked malt with deeply extracted peat, Kavalan’s signature tropical fruits are infused with peat smoke into this one-of-a-kind drop. Earthy depth and complexity is layered over the fruit and accentuated by Kavalan’s unique Shave, Toast, and Rechar (STR) technique on the barrels, for unique ripening.
