Blended Malt Whisky, Japan / Honshu – Nagano
Explore the possibilities of Japanese whisky and cross the boundaries of distilleries to make delicious whisky. A joint project started in 2015 with the hope that Japan could also exchange raw casks, which is commonly practiced in Scotland, the birthplace of whisky. The new pot was exchanged and aged, and for nearly 6 years, discussions were continued while confirming the aging process, leading to commercialization. This is the first initiative in the Japanese whisky industry to commercialize blended malt whisky, which is made by vating malt whisky aged in each other’s regions. This bottle is a Japanese blended malt whisky aged at Shinshu Distillery. Uniqueness of Komagatake and Chichibu harmonized together.
