Rum, Venezuela
Inspired by rum cask’s historical trips between the New World and the Old Continent, the Transcontinental Rum Line highlights the fact that from the beginning of its existence, rum has always been shipped from Europe for nautical, economical and technical reasons.
The TCRL single casks series represents the oldest rums ever bottles by La Maison du Whisky.
Produced from fermented molasses distilled in a column still and matured in an ex-Bourbon barrel, this Venezuelan rum from 2008 was aged 10 years in tropical weather before crossing the Atlantic Ocean. It was aged 3 more years in Europe. This single cask bottled without reduction thus expresses the whole complexity of its flavours.
