Single Malt Whisky, Scotland/Highlands
This Edradour was aged for 12 years in first-fill Madeira casks before being bottled at 48.2%. This single malt has a spicy, complex profile in which the notes of the Madeira cask (walnuts and toast) blend brilliantly with the distillery’s own fruity and cereal aromas.
The Edradour distillery is renowned above all for the singular style of its single malt, which is exported all over the world. Andrew Symington, the distillery’s owner, has embarked on a series of specific refinements, each more original than the last (Burgundy, Chardonnay, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Madeira, Moscatel, Port, Sassicaia, Tokaji, etc), which have helped to renew the distillery’s style.
