Cognac, France / Poitou-charentes

Distilled by Remi Landier in the 1960s in a little copper pot still and born in the spectacular Fins Bois region, this limited edition of 60 bottles was aged in a red oak cask for over 50 years before being bottled at cask strength. Remarkably refreshing, it draws on vanilla from start to finish in emphasizing the extreme complexity of its aromatic and gustatory palette, which reveals itself to be exotic, tertiary, floral, chocolatey, spicy and medicinal by turns. Long after, a subtle note of beeswax and sandalwood lends it great nobility of expression.
