Single Malt Whisky, Australia
Produced with the Golden variety of barley in the state of Victoria in south Australia, the Steward distillery’s single malt is distilled in copper pot stills made in Italy and normally matured in casks previously used for an Australian red wine. Standing as an exception to the rule, this experimental version was matured in a barrel previously used for an apple brandy. Unique and perhaps even a little eccentric, its palette of aromas and flavours takes exquisitely refined fruity, floral, woody and spicy paths.
