Rhum Agricole, France/Martinique
Located in the commune of Macouba in the north of Martinique, on the Atlantic coast, Habitation Bellevue was bought in 1790 by Antoine Leroux-Préville. Now known as Fonds-Préville, in 1845 this sugar estate became the property of Jean-Marie Martin, who transformed it into a distillery. The JM brand was born. Owned by the Crassous de Médeuil family since 1912, it was bought in 2002 by the Bernard Hayot group, which completely renovated it in 2013. Extremely nuanced, the aromatic and taste palette of this version moves from abundantly fruity sequences to finely woody and tenderly vegetal sequences with a rare elegance.
Appearance : orange-coloured copper.
